Online Banking - Questions & Answers

Important Online Banking Tips

Single Sign-On
"Single Sign-on" means you enter your user name and password once to log in to Online Banking. Once you're in Online Banking, you simply click a link to enter the Bill Payer or e-Statements web sites, without using another username or password.

ACCOUNT ALERTS and SCHEDULED TRANSFERS:
Account Alerts automatically notify you about changes in your accounts, based on the Account Alerts you set up in Online Banking. You have the option of receiving your alerts by email or by Text Message. See more details at the bottom of this page.
__ The email address you will receive these notices from is ibalerts@cavion.com.
__ Be sure that your email service does not block this address.
__ Also make sure these notices don't end up in your email's Junk folder.

Joint Account History & Nicknames
If you are a joint signer on other people's Credit Union accounts, those accounts will also be displayed in Online Banking. Those joint accounts will probably be listed on the same page as your other accounts, and they will most likely have the same account titles as your own accounts.

To tell the difference between the accounts, we recommend the following:

  1. First, identify the accounts - it might be easiest to identify them by dollar balance.
  2. Then, rename the accounts using the User Options/Account Nickname feature in Online Banking. These custom nicknames are displayed only in Online Banking.

Account Alerts in Online Banking

Keep Informed of the Status of Your Accounts

Account Alerts can notify you:

When an account balance reaches a certain dollar amount, or goes over or under a certain balance that you specify.

When a wide range of specific transactions occur on one or more accounts, such as:

  • Alert you a specified number of days before a loan payment is due.
  • Alert you when the available balance on your line of credit is above, below, or equal to an amount you specify.
  • Alert you when the next withdrawal or deposit is made on your account.
  • Alert you when an account transaction of any type is made that is equal to, more than, or less than an amount you specify.
  • Alert you with emailed text reminders on dates of your choice. For example, Online Banking could remind you on November 1st that Mom's birthday is November 8.
  • If you often need to call the Credit Union to find out if a deposit has been made, or a check has cleared, you can instruct Online Banking to automatically send you a message when it happens.
